The article is aimed at both genders as the straplines talk about male rockbands around the edge but the image on the cover would mainly attract females.

This sounds like it is aimed at older people as it sounds like a interesring story about crime that they are more likely to be interested in. Another strapline 'Return of Beavis and Butt-heads' shows that people who are a little older may know about this and may be intereseted to know it's back.
